Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. ~ John 18:38.
“What is truth?”
One day a man stood before a King
The words he said would forever ring
He cried “What is truth?” and went out again
He wanted to hear the advice of men.
“What is truth?” would echo in every heart.
But from truth man’s heart would farther depart.
People today they don’t want the truth
They rather see fiction or hear of some sleuth.
So often we hear there are no absolutes
Everyone’s running after their own pursuits.
I wonder if Pilate regrets that day
Wished he had stayed to hear what Christ would say.
“What is truth?” echo’s in his heart
He and God will always be apart.
Never to see the Power of God
He will always regret the path that he trod.
My friend you must see Truth is here
Standing right before you, it’s very near.
Jesus said I am the truth, the light and the way
And I’m calling you this very moment this very day.
“What is truth?” echo’s in your heart.
Will you stay and listen or will you depart.
Your eternity waits; it’s all up to you
It really depends on what is really true.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ~ John 14:6.
