So often we fail to inquire of the LORD because we come to the LORD as if he was some version of Santa Clause. We wonder why the LORD will not hear us... but the LORD does not hear those who come to him with a haughty "I want that attitude." Here are some Biblical ways to inquire or pray to the LORD...
- We are to inquire wanting to hear from God. ~ · Judges 20:23
- We are to inquire specifically ~ · 1 Samuel 10:22
- We are to continually inquire of the LORD and not just when we think we need God’s Help ~ · 1 Samuel 14:37
- We are to inquire of the LORD to meet our needs. ~ 1 Samuel 22:10
- We are to inquire of the LORD in ever area of our lives no matter how petty. ~ 1 Samuel 23:2
- We are not to expect God to answer us if we never inquire of the LORD except in the time of need. ~ 1 Samuel 28:6
- We are to inquire diligently … until we have the LORD’s full answer. ~ 2 Samuel 2:1
- When we inquire of the LORD, we need to be ready to hear God’s perspective and not our own. ~ 2 Samuel 5:23
- There will be times when we haven’t inquired of the LORD and we need to come back to the state of talking to the LORD about every thing. ~ 1 Chronicles 13:3
- When we want to hold on to our sin, we will not inquire of the LORD. ~ Isaiah 30:2
- Sadly, those that continue to ignore the LORD, there will come a time when the LORD will not hear them. ~ Ezekiel 20:3
